So maybe it's meant to be this way. Maybe I will forever only stop here once or twice a season, posting random musings in fits and starts. Believe me, I would love to make this a ritual--a creative habit--but I must be honest with my easily distracted self. These things don't happen overnight.
But I am here and I have some ideas and inspirations.
more to come...

just a moment.
Has it really been over two months since my initial post on this blog? I could offer up excuses and tragedies that have prevented me from logging my progress, but i have none. Life has been good since my birthday and I've been busy doing quite a bit of nothing. I've been watching spring arrive. Watching as the sparse branches that separate our backyard from the freeway below have filled out into lush, green sound buffers. I've been in Seattle for three years now and the springtime always captures my attention with loud pink blossoms and early morning songbirds. To be honest, it's hard to stay focused and find time to place myself in front of this computer.
But here I am, once more, at this place I've reserved. And yes, I have been working on my list. I will write about that soon enough. For now I wanted to take just a moment to check in and brush off the digital dust that had collected.

day (minus) one
I like to make lists. I scratch numbered tasks and projects on scraps of bills and note cards and coffee stained napkins. Usually these lists just get written and rewritten, (very) slowly evolving--growing and shrinking as the the days pass. Sometimes they get forgetten. I'll be honest, i'm not the best at completing my lists. But, i've been inspired by so many amazing women on the web who have written their own creative lists and are documenting, through words and photos, their progress.
Tomorrow is my 29th birthday, and here is my list of twenty-nine things to complete before i turn thirty...

2. learn how to develop my own film
